Born in Northamptonshire and now living in Weybridge, Surrey. A largely self-taught artist, Anthony lived and worked abroad during his career in international marketing for Dr. Martens and as a shoe designer for Montreal-based Aldo Chaussures.

Although spending most of his working life in the fashion industry, he has always maintained an interest in portraiture, mural painting and, more recently, landscapes.

His love for painting was renewed during the Pandemic and he became a member of the Surrey Hills Plein Air Painters, the Dorking Group of Artists, the London Plein Air Painters and, more recently, the Oxford Plein Air Painters.

Observation from life is an essential part of Anthony’s work so he paints en plein air as much as he can in every season and in all weather conditions.  He regularly takes his oil paints away with him on his travels throughout Britain & Europe.

Anthony participates in events, including the Great Broadway Paint-Off, Jackson’s Plein air Paint-outs and has had work accepted into many exhibitions.
